DAY 20:
Since today we were preparing for our coming APPG theory test 2, we didnt go out of tianjin university. However as i was doing my self studies in class, I found out that that i was really quite focus in what i was doing as i improved on my self dicipline in my study. As i know that when its time to study, we study hard. When its time to play, we play hard together with our friends. Thats what i learn today! In Singapore, we should do the same so that we are able , we should do the same so that we are able to manage our play time and study time because since there is always so much things to do, we should always plan on what we want to do-time management.
Today i also observed that the grass are getting greener! Compared to Singapore, our trees are always green! So i feel so happy when i see green leaves growing from the bushes(: Because since everything in tianjin look so dull due to the lack of rain and the dust, its good to see plants growing again, making the enviroment look much brighter and nicer. DAY 19:
Today i finally had some good well needed sleep!! anyways, today we went for lunch with one of our chinese buddy! We went to eat at one of their dormitories canteen. What i saw there when i ordered my hot plate rice was that the bowl was filled with grease and oil! i guessed they really didnt bother to scrub the bowl clean. This shows how dirty their food presentation is. From this experience i learn to be more grateful of singapore's clean food presentations!
And, today at their dorms, i also uncovered that they do not have access to hot water! Compared to singapore our school dorms has hot water for bathing! Everyday each of the students have to walk to the hot water station just to collect 2 bottles of 1-litre water! From this observation i learn to be more appreciative of my hot water access either from my hotel or at home!
From todays experience and observations i know that people in China lives a much harsher life that people in singapore. Thus, we singapore shouldnt complaint about minor stuffs! THATS.THE.WAY.LAH.THATS.THE.WAY((:

DAY 18:
Today we had our first APPG lab test. i went on quite smoothly until the last 3 mins..i had a FATAL error in my program. I panic! BUT then i was able to calm myself down and thought things calmly and solved the error(: Thus, just from this experience, i learnt that in life we have to calm ourselves to be able to think of the right decision to choose. Just like in a boxing ring, the best fighter isnt always the strongest or the biggest size. The bet fighter is the one that knows how to keep calm and know when to hit or block from the opponent. Thus, i can learn from this experience to be calm and remain constantly thinking in life to be a better person.
Today we also went to the wine factory today! compared to singapore, how they work are almost the same such as clean and systematic way to processing their products. The difference is that the people there are lowly paid but still doing the same job such as technicians of the machines. I also uncovered that their superior-sybordinate relationships are so much different from singapore because in china, the managers seldom talk/chat with the workers whereas in singapore the managers still talk/chat with the workers like a friend. Thus, i see the power-distance between the managers and workers.

DAY 17:
Today in class we invited our China buddies over! We presented to them about our country-Singapore, the 4 different races and the food! As we were having our presentation i realised how diverse our country is compared to China. I also learnt that some chinese are also still hatred for the Japanese. Unlike Singapore, we were brought up to be harmonious with the different races and other countries too! However one thing we should learn from the Chinese is the pariotism in them. Not alot of singaporeans are really proud of Singapore even though its such a nice and safe place to live in.Thus, i learnt today is to be proud of my country and not have hatred with anyone else because it doesnt do any good for myself or the other party. That is why Singapore is signing many other diplomatic treaties to allies to create friendships and trust between other countries. THATS.THE.WAY.LAH.THATS.THE.WAY((:

DAY 16:
Today as i walked to the hotel after school. I saw that a mother is allowing her son to pee on the pathway outside of the school.I think that the chinese people have not developed a culture of cleanliness where they should bring their children to the toilet to the toilet if the child needs to pee.Because after 2 weeks of being in China, i see that the toilets in China is horrible! The government should do something about the cleanliness of the state. Because, what i think is that China would be a much better place to live in, if it is much cleaner. Even at the roadside, sometimes we can even smell the stench of shit from the sewages. To solve this problem, is to really educate the younger generations of China to be more clean. This would help to increase their social behavior in a much better way. One small thing such as allowing their child to pee on the roadside or by not flushing the toilet bowl after use would allow other people to follow along, thus the toilet would be so stink and dirty. So, i really thank the singapore government for educating us singaporeans to be 'clean and green', thus our country is always clean, which foreigners would be more attracted to our country, which helps to boost our country through the tourism sector.THATS.THE.WAY.LAH.THATS.THE.WAY((:

Today i had my APPG test. I hoped i was able to do well in it! anyways, today we went on a Bus trip to the sino-singapore park where singapore helps china to build a plot of land for them while china provides land and labour. As i was thinking today when i was in the bus, i thought that how can china become so economically succesfull in such a short while just because of china's and manpower. However, what i thought was it wasnt because of the land and manpower that makes them so successful, its because of china's will power of wanting to learn from other nations. The people here are always wanting to learn about others. One example would be the that China wants Singapore to teach them how we build our country so successfully, China wants to know! The learning spirt in the people helps them to build them up! In Singapore, its sad to say that the people here takes thing for granted and always complaints to the government. We as Singaporeans should learn from China to have this Learning attitude, that is why the singapore government is wanting singaporeans to have this thing called 'life long learning"! DAY 14:
Today we went to sing the KTV at some hotel. Its was really fun as our chinese buddies went there with us too! Everyone was having so much fun and i realise that the chinese people do know how to have a break between their studies too(: Because in Singapore we usually see the chinese students as those very hardworking and studious type. However, our buddies proved us wrong! I was able to see that they know how to set time for studies and for play. I want to learn from my chinese buddies to manage play and studies well as i know that sometimes i might be too carried away when i play and have too much fun. Though nothing much really happened today, its a important lesson for me to have this thing called Time Management.
Today was our last day of revising for our APPG test. We learned to help each other and we studied together. I see the determination in others when one wants to learn something. We must not only have determination during studying for our test but have determination for everything we do or want to do. I can learn from the chinese people to appreciate the little things in life such as their art and tea cultures. I learn more about what my weaknesses, people's weaknesses and how to use their personality to my advantage. Today i realise that i know that im starting to get disappointed with some of my groupmates, however this teaches me how to control myself even etter and it also tells me alot about my groupmates. The most important decisions in life aren't the easiest. Thats what i learned from my chinese cultural class today. The teacher showed us a video about how someone have to choose between love and her career, she either has to break up with her boyfriend or to quit her job to be with her boyfriend. Thus, i learned today that life is full of decisions that has to be made. Our decisions affect our lives directly, Thus its about doing what we love the most and not doing what others want us to do. Though sometimes it might seem that people put us down at times, we have to choose whether we want to sit there and admit that we're weak or to stand up for ourselves and prove others wrong. In Singapore we have clean, nice smelling toilets while china has the opposite. IM NOT COMPARING THO(: just saying. hahaha((: from this i learn that we have to learn and adapt to different cultures by experiencing them! OH OH!! one more thing! during the airport transfer we almost missed our flight as we when to the wrong terminal:( HOWEVER! one of our friend managed to be observant enough to find out that we were in the wrong terminal. we managed to run for flight in time. This teaches me to more observant of my surroundings next time(: and...we arrived at our "guest house" which turned out to a quite nice hotel sooo things turned out to be quite good in the end(: THATS.THE.WAY.LAH.THATS.THE.WAY(:
